(This question can be asked under the Legal Topic- Family Law- Mohammedan Law) The Mohammedan Law applies to the Muslims. The very basic definition can be as the one who believes in Islam, is a Muslim. In other words, it can be said that- 1) who believes that there is one God, or; 2) who believes that there is no God but Allah, and; 3) who acknowledges the Mohammed as Prophet of Allah (La Illah Il Lillah, Mohammed Ur Rasul Allah). According to Mohammedan Law, if one of the parent is a Muslim then the child deems to be a Muslim. If parents later become Muslim by conversion of religion, then also the child deems to be a Muslim.
