 First and foremost thing to be kept in mind is that every business takes time to grow. There is no magic wand for business growth. One has to patiently wait to get the fruits. Business never flourishes overnight.


As per my opinion of interacting with people, I think majorly all of us want to start a business or think of starting a business once for sure in our life. Reasons to start a business can be many. They may range from odd working hours, substance abuse, no appreciation, communication gap, expertise, skills, no increment, leadership skills, etc. Thinking to start own business depends on a multitude of factors which depend from person to person and conditions to conditions.

Steps to start my business:

1) To start my business I must do a market research. Doing a market research is a prerequisite for starting a business. This will help me in knowing the business in demand. Also it will help in knowing that the idea that I have in my mind will work out or not. Will the business be effective or not? This will ultimately help me in turning my business idea into a reality.

2) I must have a business plan in my mind so as to start my business. Business plan will help me to start my business as without proper planning I cannot succeed no matter how great my idea is. So starting up my business with a proper business plan will be the ultimate guide to my successful business.

3) Starting a business must have a location. So after doing a thorough market research and planning, next important step to start a business is to have a location for my business. It must be chosen in a way thinking that it is approachable by all. If my business requires transportation, then it must be accessible. Also, I must check out that there are no more businesses of the same kind there. Or if it has more business of the same kind nearby then I must have something extra or unique to offer to the customers to reach out to me.

4) Funding plays a very important role in starting a business. To start a business I must have the requisite funds. If I have funds of my own then it's well and good. But if it requires something more then I must see for the proper funding. To start my business funding can be done through friends and family. The central and state governments also fund business by giving grants and loans. This can be checked by vising their websites or by personally visiting banks and discussing with the officials.

5) Business start up has a name. Like we have a name, our business too must have a name. So try something unique and appropriate name for the start up business. As soon as my business has a name, I must get a website designed. It is just a one time cost and later it just requires maintenance. The business name must be catchy so as to attract the customers.

6) Start up business must be registered. To get a start up business registered I must get it done on priority basis by contacting the officials. The information can be taken from their websites or they can be visited personally to know the basic documentation required to start a business.

7) Once my business is registered, next comes further step to start my business. Get the business cards or the visiting cards designed for the start up business. The designing, posters, brochures, catalogues, if required must be designed for the business. The important part here to start a business is to have a bank account in the name of the business. So contact a bank to open the business account into, ask the bank officials for the documents which are necessary for account opening and get it opened.

8) Effective and efficient start up business according to me is getting the authorised and relevant government proofs for my business. So collect the mandatory proofs of the business. 

The above mentioned steps are basic and mandatory to start up a business. 

Starting up a business requires a lot of efforts, hard work and patience. Give time to plan the business. Don't do anything in a hurry.
